lusso chick picks of the week!

every week one of the amazing lusso chicks will share with you their favorite items in store now.

this week i'm pleased to introduce you to one of the original chicks who started lusso 13 years ago... missy!

I love Lusso and all that it has brought to my life in the last 13 years. It truly is a family affair! 13 years ago I called my sister in Singapore (forgot about the time change and woke her at 2am) to tell her that I found the perfect place to hang our shingle - Clayton, MO! My Lusso family -- 8 of us, 5 chicks and 3 Moms make up what is affectionately referred to by my husband as "The Hen House". I consider myself one of the luckiest girls in the world to get to work with such an amazing group of women every day! We attend all activities en masse and have become know as The Lusso Girls - of which I am quite proud!

My family keeps me busy when I am not at the shop! My daughter Grayce (2 years old when we opened) is now our web model, my son Augie I am certain will be the greatest catch ever because 8 women have had a hand in raising him, and my husband - who has had unwavering support of the shop since the day I told him I was quitting the corporate world and opening a boutique, have all made it possible for me to be a part of this amazing gig!

I am "Inspector Gadget" - I love the hunt and the find of the perfect obscure - likely never going to use it - gadget.

I love to cook - although don't do it much - I still make weekly field trips to DiGregorio's and The Smoke House Market!! I have enough kitchen/cooking items to start a mini-catering company! And I've never met a cook book that I didn't "need".

I fancy myself the Cheese Queen! And actually have a note in my phone to keep track of all the fabulous cheeses that cross my path!

My pooch Manny - a black and white Havanese - brings great unconditional love to my life and occasionally visits the store. We love dogs and they are always welcome at Lusso.

I hope you will feel as comfortable in our world as we are and visit often! We love to really know our customers - you have brought great joy to our lives and we consider you a part of the family!
